Jason Scott
by Bruce D. Millet
For the last twenty five years I have been getting tattooed. And I have learned a lot about tattoo's over that time. I just wish I knew as much as I know now back when I was getting started with my first tattoo's. All I knew way back then was I liked tattoo's, horror and metal. So my first tattoo's were cheesy skulls. I like my skulls, but I wish I had used my skin space more wisely. With more artistic and thought out art work. I love all kinds of tattoo's but my favorite ones are bold old school traditional ones. "Bold will hold" as they say, simple clean lines with dark rich colors. The kind of tattoos you can see from one hundred feet away and still look good when you turn eighty. If the maggots dont eat your tattoos first. That reminds me of a joke, " Did you hear what Jeffery Dahmer said about tattoos? He said they taste great." OK back to bold tattoos, my good friend Jason Scott does some fine work at His shop up in Portsmouth NH. I met Jason back in the early eighties and we became good friends. We both had a love for horror film's and heavy music and of course tattoo's. Over the years Jason's love for tattoo's has driven Him to become one hell of an artist, and he did it the right way. He took art lessons and courses in college, He studied and learned from some of the best tattoo artists around at the time, and he learned the history and technique of tattooing. He bought a tattoo studio called HoBo's and has been doing awesome old school bold tattoo's for years now, and he loves his work, and it shows. I am proud of my friend Jason Scott, and the saying goes for our friendship as well as his work "Bold will Hold ." Check out HoBo's tattoo shop and more about Jason at his website www.hobostattoo.com.
