Hey there. I'm aware the site's overdue for an update, but know that we've been working hard here...
We have well over 60 new reviews to post as well as an interview with everyone's childhood icon, Twisted Sister's DEE SNIDER!
We've also had two new Scallywagz join the crew, namely Adam Kohrman & Brant Johnson...welcome aboard mates!
Finally, we have made the leap to MySpace...click on the logo below to be our friend:
Have a great Holiday season all...
After speaking with Gunnar about how Dark Sky didn't live up to their end of the bargain with regards to our Texas Chainsaw Massacre DVD Contest, he took 3 of his own personal promo copies, signed them and mailed them down to us...
What a cool friggin guy!!!
So, the following folks will be receiving, as originally promised, the amazing 2-disc, tin DVD sets signed by THE MAN:
- W. Calloway ~ Georgetown, KY
- B. Johnson ~ St. Paul, MN
- J. Tobin ~ Columbus, OH
For the record, out of the 200+ contest entries received NOBODY got all 3 of Gunnar's questions correct, so we went with the 3 closest respondents. The correct answers are:
1)
What is the name of the cattle truck that runs over the Hitchhiker?
Answer: Black Maria
2) How many times is Leatherface called by name in the original?
Answer: Twice
3)
In the van, the travellers are listening to the radio. What county is the
reporter saying the grave robbings are happening in?
Answer: Muerto
For those who weren't as lucky, why don't you head on over to Gunnar's site and pick yourself up a few Holiday goodies at his webstore...

Thanks everyone for entering! And thanks again, Gunnar, for stepping in for your fans / our readers!
`Til real soon,
-Skipper
Due to a lack of respect on the part of Dark Sky Films, we are unable to fulfill the promised copies for the Texas Chainsaw Massacre DVD contest.
I have informed Mr. Hansen of this situation and we will work together to make sure the 3 chosen winners are properly bestowed with some form of autographed memorabilia from the film (probably from my personal collection).
This being said, of the HUNDREDS of entries received we still HAVE NOT had anyone answer all three of Gunnar's questions correctly (with question #2).
Go HERE to try your luck...only one week left!
I've listed a bunch of stuff that needs to go...click on the eBay logo below to peruse:

Congrats to staffer Dan McDermott on the birth of his second baby boy, Brady Michael McDermott. His own personal copy of Back In Black is in the mail buddy!

The three red beacons of the radio towers across the river have just lit up. Aside from the stars at night, these are the only visible lights outside the window of my new reality.
This Fall edition of GASPetc.com is late for one reason only – I broke the heart of the most important person in my life. Today should’ve been filled with joy as it would have been my 11 year wedding anniversary. Instead, I sit alone in front of this computer screen, pouring over the how, what and why of my actions and subsequent consequences.
Thankfully the place I now reside is full of fond childhood memories and is psychologically beneficial. I have love here. Eyes from the decades of family photos surrounding me aren’t judging, though I do wanna smack the shit out that kid on the third shelf in that senior high school picture of mine!
I’m on the long road to recovery and intend on winning back my lost love. Some may even recall that it was in the second issue of the print version of this publication that I proposed to Michelle. But this is not the time nor forum to beg forgiveness or tell the world that I’ll do whatever it takes to make things right and see that our family is truly a happy one forevermore...but, um, I guess I just did...
If I might reiterate some words to live by, dear reader, from the lips of the wise Mark Small whose mantra in college always was, “Cheaters never win, and winners never cheat.”
Piece,
-MBB
P.S.- I’m grateful to the entire staff of this publication, none of whom have turned their back on me. Thanks a million guys. And thanks too for making this edition leaps & bounds ahead of our online debut!
P.P.S.- Be sure and check out all the free, streaming Seasonal flix offered on In2TV.

Back from the dead...but why?
Well, it's kinda simple. After unending prompting since the demise of G.A.S.P. etc. -- the print product -- 12 years ago by those from both the Metal & Horror worlds, I decided the time was right to unearth my labor of love in webzine format. To be honest, the true catalyst to my renewed faith in all that kicks ass came via Celtic Frost's incredible return to form with Monotheist! See you next month, fellas...
Now that the site has been up and running for a little over a month now, I guess I've chosen wisely as I'm floored by all the positive feedback we've received and at all the companies that have jumped on the GASP bandwagon to supply promo product...many thanks to all! I also bow on a daily basis to all of my SCALLYWAGZ and to sexy Krista Van Guilder for bringing the site to life (Fact: she was the original singer for Warhorse and could easily give Cristina Scabbia from Lacuna Coil a run for her money!)
As for the content, my hope is to bring timely Reviewz to you monthly and intriguing Featurz quarterly. For GASP's "Autumn" incarnation, I am extremely psyched to have spoken with two folks associated with what I consider the BEST from both the Horror and Metal genres respectively...

An in-depth look at the other faces of Gunnar Hansen, with a few questions about that pesky Chainsaw, to celebrate the AMAZING two-DVD set from Dark Sky Films! |

A chat with Slayer's drum maestro Dave Lombardo on everything from Christ Illusion to The Blues Brothers! |
Also in the works are interviewz with Voivod & Naplam Death amongst others, the launch of the GIGZ and ARTWORX sections as well as a couple of cool contests (one currently running here or look at the Century Media logo box at the top-left of this page)...expect it all later in September.
